The NFL schedule-makers sure aren’t letting the Chiefs start their quest for a three-peat on an easy road.
It was recently confirmed that the Chiefs will open the season at home on the night of Thursday, September 5th against the Baltimore Ravens.
It will be a rematch of January’s AFC Championship Game, which Kansas City won en route to a second consecutive Super Bowl.
Now, it has been confirmed by ESPN’s Adam Schefter that the Chiefs will welcome in Joe Burrow and the Cincinnati Bengals in Week 2.
After opening at home vs. the Ravens in Week 1, the Chiefs will play the Bengals in Week 2.

Perhaps the two biggest threats to Mahomes and the Chiefs will face Kansas City back-to-back weeks to open up the 2024 season.
These are some juicy matchups that will have real playoff implications.
There is no doubt about it.
Mahomes and Jackson, two multi-time MVP quarterbacks, should be going at it for the next decade.
The same goes for Bengals franchise quarterback Joe Burrow.
The Chiefs and Bengals have met five times in the last two seasons, including twice in the playoffs.
Burrow and the Bengals have beaten the Chiefs three times in that span, and that includes the 2021 AFC Championship Game.
The good news for the Bengals is that their Pro Bowl quarterback appears to be healthy and ready to roll this year after missing a major portion of the 2023 season with a major wrist injury.
If healthy, Burrow and the Bengals are as big a threat as any team to Kansas City in the AFC.
Week 2 should be a fun, possible preview of another potential playoff game.
