There are a number of teams around MLB off to strong starts this season, with the Philadelphia Phillies and Atlanta Braves both atop the NL East and tied for the fewest losses in baseball at just 13, the Los Angeles Dodgers riding an all-time great lineup to a 28-15 start, the Baltimore Orioles off to an impressive 26-14 start, and the Minnesota Twins who recently ripped off a 12-game winning streak.
All of those teams are ones we expected to be good coming into this season, but the hottest team in baseball now is one that was in the conversation for the worst team in the league just a week or two ago.
The Colorado Rockies are now on a 5-game winning streak, which is the longest active streak in the league, yet only the Miami Marlins and Chicago White Sox are below them in the standings even after the streak.
Break up the Colorado Rockies!

Colorado still sits 14 games back of the Dodgers in the division, but it has been a good sign to see the team finally wake up on both sides of the ball, particularly in the pitching department.
The Rockies have finally gotten a consistent stretch of good pitching and have given up just 11 runs in those five games.
Even after this winning streak, they are still 29th in baseball with a ghastly 5.21 team ERA and are last with a 1.53 WHIP and .278 batting average against.
Their staff has 51 fewer strikeouts than the second-worst team with just 263.
Fans hope the starting rotation can keep it rolling and the Rockies can continue surprising some people.
