The Philadelphia Phillies beat the Atlanta Braves, 3-1, both on the scoreboard Thursday and in games during the NL Division Series.
They have left them behind for a second straight season and will now play the Arizona Diamondbacks in the Championship Series.
It has been a complete team effort: the starting pitching has been on point, the bullpen has a 1.45 ERA in six games in the postseason, and the offense has hit 13 home runs to this point.
Four of the dingers belong to Nick Castellanos, and they were all hit in Games 3 and 4.
The Phillies greatly benefited from this power outburst, as they needed to show they could still win a baseball game after the shocking way they lost the second one.
Castellanos, with the series tied at one win per team, took over and homered twice in Game 3 and twice in Game 4.
He is a big reason why the Phillies left the Braves in the dust, and he broke a record in the process.
“Nick Castellanos is the first player in MLB history with back-to-back multi-HR games in the #Postseason!” MLB tweeted.

One of the long balls was extremely impressive: Castellanos was quick and powerful enough to put a powerful swing on a 100-mph fastball by Spencer Strider.
That ball traveled a long way.
Since the Phillies pitching staff allowed just a single run, they would have had enough with Castellanos’ homers.
Trea Turner added a third one just in case, though.
