The Houston Texans got a special player when they drafted C.J. Stroud.
Skills, ability, and talent aside, his personality and how he led his team really set him apart from the rest of the pack.
That’s why he’s one of Tom Brady’s favorite players.
Talking on The Pivot podcast with Ryan Clark, the legendary Super Bowl champion praised Stroud for how he’s gone the extra mile to lead the right way.
Tom Brady is the most accomplished football player of all time. Notice I didn’t say QB. Tom pointed to young QBs like @CJ7STROUD’e ability to build a connection with his teammates as one of the most important things young leaders of the locker room can do.

Brady claimed that being a good teammate is key to success and having a long career.
He thinks that the way a player responds and operates in adversity, how he deals with the wins and losses, the media scrutiny, and the way he carries himself is what gives him an edge and makes him go from good to great.
He believes that Stroud has that approach in the sense that he creates a legitimate bond and connection with everybody around him.
Brady wasn’t always the best quarterback in the game, but he was also a team-first kind of guy.
He never threw his teammates or coaching staff under the bus, and he even agreed to make less money so that everybody around him could get more money.
Stroud proved to be a special player in his first year in the league, and his future looks even brighter.
More than that, he also proved to be a born leader.
