The Los Angeles Dodgers are starting to look like the juggernaut that many expected them to be over the last few weeks after spending over a billion dollars upgrading the roster this past offseason to bring in Shohei Ohtani, Yoshinobu Yamamoto, Tyler Glasnow, Teoscar Hernandez, and others.
If you haven’t been paying attention, the Dodgers are on a heater and the offense is as good as advertised.
LA has won 17 of its last 21 games and scored 122 runs during that span behind its trio of former MVPs.

The Dodgers lead the league in most offensive categories, including runs scored, batting average, on-base percentage, slugging percentage, walks, and doubles, and are second in home runs.
Ohtani has been incredible and is in the early mix for the triple crown with a league-leading .361 batting average, 12 homers, and 30 RBI, while Mookie Betts is making an early run at MVP as well with a .345 average, seven homers, and 28 RBI with 30 walks to just 20 strikeouts.
The top-six hitters in this lineup all have an OPS well over .800 at the moment, and there’s no reason to believe those guys won’t be able to keep it up.
As if the offense wasn’t dominant enough, the Dodgers are also third in ERA, third in WHIP, second in batting average against, and tied for third in quality starts.
This team is a wagon as evidenced by its +84 run differential already.
The Dodgers are already running away with the NL West, and there are no signs of them slowing down.
