The Washington Commanders are turning the page to a new era.
With a new ownership group in place, a new head coach in Dan Quinn, and a new quarterback in No. 2 overall pick Jayden Daniels, the franchise is ready to start winning.
FOX Sports’ Colin Cowherd recently spoke about how he feels in regard to Washington’s current quarterback situation.
“I haven’t said anything nice about the Washington Football Team in a decade…This kid’s gonna work,” Cowherd said on “The Herd.”

Keep an eye out for what Washington does in year one with this whole new regime.
No, they won’t win the Super Bowl.
They probably won’t even make the playoffs.
But, they have themselves an elite athlete at quarterback in the Heisman winner in Daniels.
They also have a quality group of offensive weapons.
They added former Pro Bowl tight end Zach Ertz and productive all-purpose back Austin Ekeler.
That is in addition to the cast of Pro Bowl wide receiver Terry McLaurin, former first-round receiver Jahan Dotson, and running back Brian Robinson Jr., who had over 1,100 scrimmage yards in 2023.
This team is ready to go compete, especially on offense.
They might not be a record-setting group, but the pieces are in place for them to be in a lot of games.
With the athleticism and talent of Daniels, along with the defensive mindset of Quinn, this team can surprise people in the future.
Even if they don’t go crazy in year one of the new regime, the groundwork can still be laid for a bright future.
