Tom Brady hasn’t played NFL football in quite a while, yet he continues to win.
This time, he beat Greg Olsen for a spot on FOX’s No. 1 broadcast team.
The former tight end has done an outstanding job as an analyst since retiring from the league, but this was still expected, considering how much money they gave Brady to join the network.
Brady signed a 10-year deal worth a whopping $375 million, and they didn’t even pressure him or rush him to join the team, allowing him to come back to play and then take a year off to get ready for this new role.
Now, according to a report by The New York Post, Olsen will join Joe Davis on their No. 2 announcing team.
“Fox Sports has cemented the obvious pairing of Olsen with Joe Davis on the network’s No. 2 NFL announcing team,” sources told The Post.
Olsen spent most of the time working on the primary team with Kevin Burkhardt.
He had also worked with Davis in the past when Burkhardt was out covering the MLB playoffs.
There’s not much you can do when arguably the most famous player in NFL history is also in the building, and while everything should be earned and not given, it’s Tom Brady we’re talking about here.
