For years, there has been a running joke about the NFL being scripted.
Of course, it’s hard to believe that literally thousands of athletes have been a part of this charade, and there has never been any evidence of that happening.
But more than that, some of the things that have happened should be more than enough proof of this being fake.
With that in mind, former NFL player Ross Tucker hosted Mike North, the VP of NFL broadcast planning, on his podcast to discuss the issue.
“Anybody that thinks the NFL is scripted I can assure you Aaron Rodgers getting hurt on the 4th play was not in the script…”

Unsurprisingly, North claimed that he didn’t even want to dignify that theory by talking about it.
He added that the league definitely didn’t benefit from having Aaron Rodgers suffer a season-ending injury on the fourth play of the season.
He also pointed out how many quarterbacks got hurt in the year, adding that it was interesting to see how good some teams truly where when they thrived in those circumstances.
At the end of the day, this theory doesn’t make sense at all.
Why, of all markets, would the league choose to make the Kansas City Chiefs the team to beat when they could’ve done the same for, say, the San Francisco 49ers, Dallas Cowboys, or New York Jets/Giants?
They definitely let some things slide, and the referees have left some things to be desired.
Also, some of the trades and moves are well-known beforehand.
But from that to the league being scripted, it’s crazy to think that some people actually took that joke seriously.
