The Kansas City Chiefs are sitting on a 5-1 record and the top spot in the AFC West, but some fans are still worried.
Even Patrick Mahomes didn’t look so happy after the win over the Denver Broncos, stating that the offense hasn’t lived up to the same level as the defense and the special teams.
Their struggles are related to their lack of star-power in their receiving corps, and that could be a major issue come playoff time.
Nonetheless, former NFL star Michael Irvin believes the Chiefs have absolutely nothing to be worried about, as they’ll always have a chance to win for as long as they have Patrick Mahomes and Travis Kelce on the field.

He stated that Kelce could make a case for being the greatest player at the tight end position in NFL history, and called Mahomes “a wizard” and “the most frustrating quarterback you could ever go against.”
Truth be told, Mahomes and Kelce have willed the Chiefs’ offense to five consecutive wins, and Irvin believes they’re sort of playing NBA basketball in the NFL.
That’s a valid assessment, and whenever you have such a special connection between two future first-ballot Hall of Famers, it’s a fact that you have a chance to win.
Then again, this is a team sport, and while there’s no such thing as holding back Kelce or Mahomes, they need more help around them.
There are so many good teams in the league right now, and the Chiefs need to make some moves ASAP.
