The Cincinnati Bengals had a tough year in 2023.
After hoping to make another deep playoff run, those hopes were dashed after quarterback Joe Burrow went down for the rest of the season due to a major wrist injury.
This offseason, the roster has been in flux with veteran receiver Tyler Boyd going to Tennessee as a free agent, Pro Bowl running back Joe Mixon heading to Houston, and veteran players Trey Hendrickson and Tee Higgins looking for a better contract.
However, with Burrow back healthy, the sky is still the limit for this team.
Fox Sports’s Craig Carton had this to say about Cincinnati’s possible win total for 2024.
“This is at minimum, lock-it-up guarantee, an 11-win team,” Carton predicted recently on The Carton Show.

Prior to last season, Zac Taylor’s squad had made back-to-back deep playoff runs.
They made it all the way to the Super Bowl in 2021 and to the AFC Championship Game in 2022.
Again, with the Pro Bowl quarterback in Burrow back healthy, this is one of the best teams in football.
Like Carton notes, they have a very favorable schedule.
They play a fourth-place schedule and should get a lot of wins because of it.
The only way that the team likely doesn’t make the playoffs is if something catastrophic happens, such as another injury for Burrow.
He has the ability to affect the game like an Aaron Rodgers or a Tom Brady.
He’s always going to be the X-factor.
For now, this Bengals team looks like a legit contender in the AFC.
