After Daniel Snyder finally sold the team before last season, the Washington Commanders were able to begin rebuilding and picking up the pieces to get this storied franchise back on track as a force to be reckoned with in the NFC.
Although this could be a lengthy process for the Commanders, Washington has been aggressive in it’s efforts to right the ship under new owner Josh Harris and his ownership group, which includes Los Angeles Lakers legend Magic Johnson.
Following a disappointing 2023 campaign, in which the team won only four games and finished dead last in the NFC East division standings, the Commanders began to clean house by firing head coach Ron Rivera and hiring Dan Quinn, formerly of the division-rival Dallas Cowboys.
Along with Quinn now at the helm for Washington, the team has also been making changes to the front office to help the team get back on track sooner rather than later, with the latest move being to bring in former Detroit Lions executive Brandon Sosna, according to Mike Garafolo of NFL Network.

As long as the Commanders brass continue this approach to improve in every facet of the franchise, Washington could become a team to watch in the NFC in the near future, especially with the team recently drafting a franchise quarterback in Heisman Trophy winner Jayden Daniels out of LSU.
With the Commanders having Daniels to build around moving forward, the team has a sense of purpose and direction, which should help guide the franchise in a promising future.
