The Kansas City Chiefs are the team to beat in today’s National Football League.
They’ve become the latest dynasty in sports, and as such, they’ll continue to be the team to beat in the league until proven otherwise.
They’ve won three Super Bowls in the past six years, with four trips to the biggest game since Patrick Mahomes took the reins of the team.
With that in mind, superstar TE Travis Kelce revealed his goal as a player.
When asked how many rings he wanted to win, he claimed that he wanted to get as many as Michael Jordan (via Fox News):
“Give me as many rings as Jordan’s got, baby,” Kelce said in an exclusive interview with Zen Water.
Of course, that’s an ambitious goal.
He’s not getting any younger, and some even speculated about his retirement last season.
He’s proven to be healthy and as good and impactful as ever, but this is a physical sport, and you’re always one play away from potentially not suiting up again.
Mahomes has an opportunity to take down Tom Brady as the winningest quarterback of all time, but he would still have to win more than double the rings he’s won thus far.
That speaks volumes about Brady’s dominance in this league, and not many players have been able to play for two decades, let alone be as relevant as Brady was.
Still, if someone can pull it off, that’s Mahomes and the Chiefs, so props to Kelce for staying ambitious and keeping that same competitive drive and fire going, as it’ll be interesting to see how long this team can keep this up.
