Minnesota Vikings fans might want to sit down for this one and take a sip of water too.
All-Pro wide receiver Justin Jefferson is reportedly not with the team during the start of OTAs.
According to ESPN’s Adam Schefter, the former Offensive Player of the Year was not seen at the team’s facility today and is still looking for a major contract extension.

Of course, it would be an absolute stunner if the Vikings didn’t give Jefferson his money and security.
He is arguably the best wide receiver in the league and is just 24 years of age.
The former national champion at LSU has the most receiving yards in NFL history for any wide receiver through his first four career seasons (5,899).
Despite playing in just 10 games last year, he recorded over 1,000 yards for the fourth consecutive season.
Prior to last season, he recorded at least 1,400 receiving yards in each of his first three seasons.
Again, he is still just 24 years of age and right in the prime of his career.
The three-time All-Pro is definitely needed in Minnesota.
Rookie quarterback J.J. McCarthy will need Jefferson back in the fold with rising star receiver Jordan Addison, Pro Bowl tight end T.J. Hockenson, and veteran running back Aaron Jones.
Despite moving on from Pro Bowl quarterback Kirk Cousins, the Vikings can still be a formidable team in 2024.
It all depends on McCarthy’s development.
That is why it is paramount that the team gets a deal done with Jefferson.
The sooner the better for sure.
