The Pittsburgh Steelers have made some intriguing moves on offense this offseason.
They have added notable pieces in quarterback Justin Fields, gadget player Cordarrelle Patterson, wide receiver Van Jefferson, rookie receiver Roman Wilson, and plenty of other moves.
The front office made one more recent move by adding another running back to the room.
Veteran back Jonathan Ward is being signed by Pittsburgh, according to insider Aaron Wilson.

Ward is more of an insurance and depth signing than anything else at this point.
The former All-MAC performer went undrafted out of Central Michigan in 2020.
He signed with the Arizona Cardinals afterwards and was with them until 2022.
He would move on to the practice squad of the New York Jets later that season before also joining the Tennessee Titans.
The 26-year-old back bounced in between the practice squad and the active roster for most of his time in Tennessee before becoming a free agent once again.
Now, he is a member of a winning organization in Pittsburgh.
Steelers fans shouldn’t go crazy over this addition.
Ward only has 17 career rushing attempts for 69 yards and 6 career catches for 52 yards and a touchdown.
It would be a stunner if he stayed with the Steelers for the entire season.
Najee Harris has rushed for over 1,000 yards in each of his first three career seasons.
His running mate in Jaylen Warren recorded over 1,150 scrimmage yards last year too.
The veteran addition in Patterson is the do-it-all gadget player, who brings familiarity to offensive coordinator Arthur Smith’s system.
Look for Ward to compete for a roster spot and nothing more this year.
