The New York Jets certainly went through a difficult year last year.
They lost their four-time MVP and Super Bowl-winning quarterback in Aaron Rodgers just a few snaps into the season.
The offense would struggle and the franchise would finish with a record of 7-10 for the second consecutive season.
What did offensive coordinator Nathaniel Hackett learn from the tough season in 2023?
He recently spoke with the media about it.
“I think every year you learn so much…We faced a lot of change…It was a great opportunity for a lot of guys to get some valuable, valuable experience,” Hackett said.

It is definitely fair to say that Hackett has gotten a bad wrap over the last few seasons.
No, it did not go well in Denver for him as a first-year head coach.
He wasn’t ready.
In his first season with the Jets as the offensive coordinator last year, he was dealt a tough hand because of Rodgers’ achilles injury.
Remember, he was brought in to work with Rodgers again and not necessarily Zach Wilson.
The two had great success in Green Bay for three seasons as Rodgers won two MVPs.
In 2024, Hackett will have a healthy Rodgers and a more experienced offense.
The additions of Mike Williams and third-round wide receiver Malachi Corley will help out Garrett Wilson and Allen Lazard.
All-Pro offensive tackle Tyron Smith and veteran offensive tackle Morgan Moses will help sure up the offensive line in an effort to protect Rodgers.
Breece Hall is fully healthy and the addition of rookie running back Braelon Allen out of Wisconsin won’t hurt either.
Look for a much better offensive season from the Jets in 2024.
