Shaun Alexander is a name that has seemingly slipped through the cracks of NFL history, but back in the day, he was a prolific running back.
He played his college football at the University of Alabama, a school that has a storied history in the powerhouse Southeastern Conference (SEC).
While on “Up & Adams,” Alexander was asked by host Kay Adams if he is the greatest running back in Alabama history, and he said he is.
Is SHAUN ALEXANDER still considered the GREATEST Alabama running back of All-Time??? #RollTide

After rushing for an incredible 3,166 yards and 54 touchdowns as a senior in high school, Alexander moved on to the Crimson Tide, where his college career got off to a slow start.
But after mustering pedestrian numbers in his first two seasons, he broke out as a junior, running for 1,046 yards and 12 touchdowns.
Then, as a senior, he posted 1,383 yards and 19 touchdowns on the ground and led his team to a conference title, which earned him the SEC Player of the Year award.
Alexander was the No. 19 pick in the 2000 NFL Draft by the Seattle Seahawks, and he started to breathe life into what had been a floundering franchise.
From 2001 to 2005, he ran for at least 14 touchdowns and over 1,100 yards each season, and he topped out at a league-high 1,880 yards and 27 touchdowns in 2005.
That was the year he won the regular-season MVP award and led Seattle to the Super Bowl, where they lost to the Pittsburgh Steelers.
Alexander’s career ended after the 2008 season, and while he hasn’t made it to the Pro Football Hall of Fame, Crimson Tide and Seahawks fans will never forget him.
