After a very poor Super Bowl title defense in 2022, the Los Angeles Rams rose from the ashes last season and unexpectedly made the playoffs thanks to the contributions of a couple of young studs.
There was wide receiver Puka Nacua, who went from being a humble fifth-round draft choice in 2023 to posting 1,486 yards and six touchdowns and finishing second in the Offensive Rookie of the Year balloting.
Rookie nose tackle Kobie Turner had 9.0 sacks and 16 quarterback hits and finished third in the balloting for the Defensive Rookie of the Year award.
Then there was running back Kyren Williams, who ran for 1,144 yards and 12 touchdowns in his second pro season.
Rams head coach Sean McVay said that Williams will not participate in OTAs this spring because of a foot issue, but he also said Williams should be ready for training camp in July, per Ian Rapoport.

Williams was limited to 12 games in 2023 because of a sprained ankle, but he still led all players with 95.3 rushing yards per game.
He was a major factor in Los Angeles going 10-7; in fact, when he was out for four games with that ankle injury, the team went just 1-3.
Although quarterback Matthew Stafford has a lot of mileage on him and appears to be a bit brittle, there is now real hope in Southern California that the Rams can win their first playoff game since Super Bowl LVI, which they won at SoFi Stadium versus the Cincinnati Bengals.
In a top-heavy NFC, there just may be a pathway for them to somehow reach the NFC Championship Game if all goes well for them.
