Jordan Love is one of the rising stars of the National Football League.
He helped lead the Green Bay Packers to the playoffs in the first year without the legendary Aaron Rodgers.
Not only did the team make the playoffs, but they came to within 15 minutes of an NFC Championship Game berth.
OTAs have begun in Green Bay this week, which means Love, who recently got a chance to speak with the media, has received some contract questions.
Here is what the fifth-year quarterback had to say about his current contract situation:
“I don’t really know what’s going on, but we’ll see…I’m not gonna get into too much contract stuff,” Love stated.
Packers fans shouldn’t have to worry too much about this.
The franchise knows how to deal with star quarterbacks and won’t let anything get in the way of getting their star quarterback a major extension.
In his first full season as the starter, the former first-round pick finished 2nd in the league in passing touchdowns (32), 8th among qualified starters in QBR (62.1), 7th in completions (372), 7th in passing yards (4,159), and 10th among qualified starters in pass yards per game (244.6).
Simply put, he played like an elite signal-caller in his first year as a full-time starter.
Green Bay will get Love the major contract that he certainly deserves.
They are one of the best and smartest organizations in all of sports.
Look for Love to help head coach Matt LaFleur guide this team to another deep playoff run in 2024 after a magical 2023 season.
