A year after tearing his ACL in the middle of the season, New York Giants quarterback Daniel Jones is on his way back.
Head coach Brian Daboll recently spoke with the New York media about Jones’s current practice plan as the team is in the midst of its OTA period.
“It’s good…He’s making progress…We’ve got him in 7-on-7…We’ll take it day by day,” Daboll stated.

This isn’t exactly like Aaron Rodgers returning from injury to play for the Jets.
Daniel Jones isn’t exactly the star quarterback that has championship experience and elite ability.
In five years starting in New York, Jones has a record of 22-36-1.
He has been sacked 179 times and thrown 40 career interceptions.
The team has made the playoffs just once with the former first-rounder under center.
New York wasn’t exactly comfortable with having just Jones at the top of the depth chart, which is why they signed veteran quarterback Drew Lock earlier this offseason.
The Giants are one of the more mediocre franchises in the entire league.
That doesn’t appear to be stopping anytime soon.
They’ve had just won winning record in seven years and haven’t won a playoff game since they last won the Super Bowl in 2011.
With the uncertainty at quarterback this year, along with the loss of their best overall player in Pro Bowl running back Saquon Barkley, the Giants are going to have a tough 2024 season.
