Last season was an excellent year for Baltimore Ravens quarterback Lamar Jackson, and he ended up winning his second MVP award even though it was just his sixth year in the NFL.
He threw for 3,678 yards and 24 touchdowns and completed 67.2 percent of his pass attempts while adding 821 yards and five touchdowns on the ground, and he also led the league in yards per rushing attempt.
But while the Ravens finished with the league’s best regular season record, they lost in the AFC Championship Game to the Kansas City Chiefs, and Emmanuel Acho said on Fox Sports 1’s “Speak” that Jackson needs to win a Super Bowl championship.

Acho pointed out that 10 QBs have won at least two regular season MVPs, and all nine of the others have won it all at least once.
This year, Baltimore will certainly have a roster that will give Jackson a little more help.
They added free agent running back Derrick Henry, who has made the Pro Bowl in four of the last five seasons and is one of the best in the NFL at his position.
Meanwhile, perhaps wide receiver Zay Flowers, who had a strong rookie campaign in 2023, will only get better.
While Pro Bowl linebacker Patrick Queen is now with the Pittsburgh Steelers, the Ravens should still have one of the best, if not the best, defense in the NFL.
It is up to Jackson to justify his individual accomplishments by leading the Ravens to the promised land sometime soon while he’s still an elite player.
