The Miami Dolphins have grown a lot over the past several years.
After many seasons of mediocrity, the Dolphins have put together a roster of great offensive and defensive players.
Their offense helped them dominate their opponents in the early stages of the 2023 season, but they started to fall off towards the end of the year.
They ultimately made it to the playoffs as a wild-card team but lost their Round 1 matchup against the Kansas City Chiefs.
While there could be a few reasons for the Dolphins’ struggles late in the year, there is a concern that this team can’t, and doesn’t play well in cold temperatures.
Nick Wright recently appeared on “First Things First” to discuss this phenomenon, which FinsXtra shared on Twitter.
“I think that dealing with the cold starts with him,” Wright said, indicating that Mike McDaniel is the team’s biggest detriment in these types of games.

Wright talked about McDaniel’s countenance in their matchup with the Chiefs and compared it to that of Andy Reid.
Reid did look cold, but not to the level that McDaniel portrayed to his team and fellow coaches.
If the Dolphins aren’t able to shake this narrative soon, it could be a long road for them in the coming seasons.
Unless something drastic happens to teams like the Chiefs, Buffalo Bills, and Baltimore Ravens, chances are, the Dolphins will have to play a late-season game in suboptimal temperatures.
If they can’t win those, how can they be expected to make a deep playoff run and appear in the Super Bowl?
