The Philadelphia Eagles have a huge chip on their shoulders right now.
They were one of the most disappointing teams in the league last season, falling flat after a 10-1 start to the campaign.
Even when they were winning, the players and fans were talking about how they weren’t dominating in the same way they had done in the past.
Now, the Eagles have a revamped coaching staff and an elite reinforcement in Saquon Barkley, which is why most analysts believe they’re going to be right in the mix as a Super Bowl contender.
However, that’s not the case with Craig Carton.

Talking on The Carton Show, he talked about how the Eagles were unlikely to live up to the hype.
While he acknowledged that they were perhaps the most talented team in the league and a powerhouse in the NFC, he stated that he wasn’t so sure about Jalen Hurts.
He’s reportedly not sure about what Jalen Hurts is, and he thinks he might be the reason why they fall short.
Hurts drew plenty of doubts and criticism two years ago.
Then, he led the team to a Super Bowl and had an MVP-caliber season in the following campaign before regressing again in 2023.
Still, he wasn’t healthy for most of the season, so it’s hard to know what to truly make of him.
The 2024 campaign will be crucial for Jalen Hurts and the Philadelphia Eagles, as he’ll have to prove that his success from two seasons ago wasn’t a fluke.
