In 2021, Cooper Kupp turned in a sensational season with 145 receptions, 1,947 receiving yards, and 16 receiving touchdowns, all of which led the NFL.
He was a major reason the Los Angeles Rams won the Super Bowl that season, and he was rewarded for his production with Pro Bowl and All-Pro First-Team nods, as well as the Offensive Player of the Year award.
While on the “Games with Names” podcast, Kupp said that his favorite wide receiver to watch is Keenan Allen, who was a fixture with the Southland’s other football team, the Los Angeles Chargers, for many years.

Kupp said what he really admires about Allen is the fact that the Chargers never had him run go routes and that Allen has never had great vertical speed downfield, yet he often finds himself open and finds ways to gain separation from the nearest defensive back.
Allen has been named to the Pro Bowl six times in his 11 seasons, and in 2023, he had arguably his best season ever by posting 108 catches for 1,243 yards and seven touchdowns despite missing four games.
This coming season, he will have the opportunity to play for a team that could rise quickly in the Chicago Bears, the team he was traded to this offseason.
The Bears have incoming rookie quarterback Caleb Williams, whom many feel can and should become a superstar, as well as another productive wideout in DJ Moore and a potential star wideout in Rome Odunze, the No. 9 pick in April’s draft.
