Some players just don’t know when to call it quits.
It’s one of the great things about the NFL.
This is the case with safety Tony Jefferson.
Jefferson was retired last season and working as a scouting intern for the Ravens.
However, his playing days are apparently not done yet.
According to Bleacher Report’s Jordan Schultz, Jefferson is coming out of retirement and plans to play this upcoming season.
He has stayed in shape and will start talking to teams soon.

The former All-American at Oklahoma came into the league in 2013 with the Arizona Cardinals after going undrafted.
He would play for Arizona from 2013-2016 before joining the Ravens for three years (2017-2019).
The 49ers would sign him in 2021 before releasing him, which then allowed him to sign back with the Ravens at the end of the season.
He last played with the New York Giants in 2022.
Now, he appears to be back in the league, at least that’s his hope.
Still just 32 years of age, Jefferson should have some suitors.
Even in a reserve role, he could bring plenty of knowledge.
Judging by the point at which he is currently sitting, he’ll want to join a contender.
In this situation, you can never count out a team like the Chiefs, who always seem to have the money to bring in more help.
Or, perhaps he goes back to San Francisco, a team that he played for and that is always a Super Bowl threat.
A deal would be somewhere around the veteran minimum most likely.
