After an incredible 2023 NFL season, in which the Houston Texans got back into contention in the AFC with superstar-in-the-making C.J. Stroud under center, the franchise has made it abundantly clear that it believes the championship window is officially open.
Along with having a ton of confidence in Stroud’s ability to lead this franchise moving forward, the Texans have done everything in their power to put a potential title-contending squad around their budding superstar during this NFL offseason.
The team has brought in a few potential game-changing players this offseason, with the additions of superstar wide receiver Stefon Diggs and pass rusher Danielle Hunter, but it hasn’t stopped there.
Houston has also added veteran running back Joe Mixon and secured the long-term future of wide receiver Nico Collins, according to Tom Pelissero of NFL Network via the NFL’s Twitter account.

Collins is coming off a career year in the NFL, where he caught a career-high 80 passes for 1,297 receiving yards and eight touchdowns in 15 games for the Texans.
The up-and-coming wideout also caught 11 passes for 164 receiving yards and a touchdown in two games in the NFL playoffs for Houston.
Although Diggs is without a doubt the top wide receiver in the passing game in Houston right now, Collins is a solid second option and is bound to see even more passes come his way in 2024, with the veteran wide receiver drawing double-coverages on a weekly basis, which bodes well for the 25-yard-old to have another solid season for the Texans.
