Chad Johnson is one of the most notable NFL wide receivers over the past two decades.
Johnson didn’t necessarily have a long career in the league, but he was easily identified by his on and off-court antics.
He made the most of his time in the NFL and certainly knows what he’s talking about when it comes to talented receivers.
Johnson and Shannon Sharpe, another legendary pass-catcher, host a podcast together called Nightcap, where they talk about the latest activity in the NFL, also discussing a wide variety of topics from all sports.
One of their most recent conversations revolved around today’s NFL.
Sharpe asked Johnson about the best wide receiver duo in the league, and after putting some thought into it, Johnson said, “I gotta go with A.J. and Smitty out there in Philly.”

A.J. is referring to A.J. Brown, and Smitty, is in reference to Devonta Smith.
Both of these players have made a monumental impact on the Philadelphia Eagles organization, and they have helped Jalen Hurts get acclimated into his role as the team’s starting quarterback.
The Eagles have been one of the best teams in the NFC over the past several years, and Brown and Smith have been instrumental in helping them get to this place.
With NFL teams increasingly relying on the passing attack to help them win games, it is more imperative than ever that they have elite receivers on their roster.
Brown and Smith certainly present that level of upside, which is why Johnson gave them the title as the best duo in the league.
