The Minnesota Vikings already have their quarterback for the future, or so they hope.
Now, they have to make sure to keep their best player locked in as well.
Justin Jefferson is fully expected to reset the wide receiver market once a deal gets agreed upon.
Notably, this record-breaking deal has kept other players — such as CeeDee Lamb and Ja’Marr Chase — on their toes as they will most likely use it as a baseline for a contract of their own.
Should that be the case, then their teams could be in some trouble.
According to a report by Albert Breer of Sports Illustrated, Jefferson could be looking at a whopping $100 million — or even more — in guaranteed money in a new three-year extension (Via The Purple Persuasion).

Jefferson has established himself as one of the best — if not the best — wide receivers in the game.
The Vikings will reportedly do whatever it takes to keep him around, which is no surprise, considering they didn’t move him during the NFL Draft to get a historical haul of assets in return for his services.
There were some rumors about Jefferson not wanting to stay there, especially after they parted ways with Kirk Cousins, but GM Kwesi Adofo-Mensah has made it loud and clear that keeping him in Minneapolis is a priority.
He’s been quite durable for most of his career except for last season.
Still, $100 million in guaranteed money for a wide receiver is unheard of thus far, with Philadelphia Eagles star A.J. Brown recently setting a new mark with $84 million in guaranteed money.
