Trevor Lawrence is the franchise quarterback of the Jacksonville Jaguars.
He has proven that in his young career and needs to continue to prove it.
However, there are some out there that believe the former national champion is not an elite signal-caller at the NFL level.
One of those people is Fox Sports’s Crag Carton.
“You’re not an elite quarterback in this league,” Carton recently stated on The Carton Show.

After a tough rookie year under one-and-done head coach Urban Meyer in 2021, Lawrence took a massive step with head coach Doug Pederson in 2022 by becoming a Pro-Bowler.
He combined for 30 touchdowns, threw for just 8 interceptions, and he threw for over 4,100 yards.
Jacksonville went 9-8, made the playoffs, and the team won a playoff game for the first time since 2017.
Last season, Lawrence was not his best.
As Carton notes, his touchdowns decreased and his interceptions increased.
The team went 8-8 with him starting and they missed the playoffs.
Now, Lawrence played hurt for a portion of the year.
He battled ankle and shoulder injuries while playing, which could certainly explain why he wasn’t as good.
Now healthy, the former Clemson star will look to have a bounce-back season in his fourth year.
The team did lose All-Pro receiver Calvin Ridley to the division-rival Titans this offseason.
But, they did add veteran and former Bills wide receiver Gabe Davis, along with first-round wide receiver Brian Thomas Jr. out of LSU.
With 1,000-yard back Travis Etienne and Pro Bowl tight end Evan Engram, Lawrence can take the team back to the playoffs this year and prove how elite he really is.
