The Dallas Cowboys have some very interesting contract negotiations going on with multiple players.
Quarterback Dak Prescott, wide receiver CeeDee Lamb, and edge-rusher Micah Parsons are all looking for new deals.
They also happen to be the three most important pieces on the team.
Specifically with Parsons, insider Mike Florio has insight into what the star defender is waiting for.
“I don’t think Micah Parsons is walking through the door until he gets his contract, and I don’t know how they’re gonna work these things out. I think Micah should be the top priority frankly. He’s the future. He’s one of the best defensive players we’ve seen in a very long time,” Florio recently said on “The Pat McAfee Show.”

Dallas really needs Parsons to get back in the building.
With the loss of defensive coordinator Dan Quinn, who is now the head coach of the Washington Commanders, Parsons is the player that can save this unit.
He is one of the top-three or four best defenders in the league.
He has made three consecutive All-Pro teams and recorded 13+ sacks each year.
The franchise also lost Pro Bowl linebacker Leighton Vander Esch, defensive end Dorance Armstrong, edge-rusher Dante Fowler Jr., and veteran defensive tackle Johnathan Hankins, amongst others.
Plus, former Defensive Player of the Year Stephon Gilmore is still a free agent.
This team has lost so much on defense.
Jerry Jones and Co. must find a way to lock up their great edge-rusher before he gets frustrated with the situation.
