To say that the New York Giants have an underwhelming quarterback room might be a bit of an understatement.
As of now, their top two guys on the depth chart are Daniel Jones and Drew Lock.
Lock made it to the Big Apple after a brief stint with the Seattle Seahawks.
He was supposed to be the Seahawks’ starter and lost the job to Geno Smith in training camp.
He never panned out as the star some thought he’d be when the Denver Broncos drafted him out of Missouri.
So, now that he’s settling for life as a backup quarterback, he’s reportedly quite excited about this new chapter in his career.
When asked about his new team, he raved about how easy it had been for him to get to know everybody and how great the locker room is, adding that the Giants are a very talented team on both sides of the field (via Giants Videos).
“This is a really good team, and I’m excited to be here”

Of course, we couldn’t expect him to say anything different.
The Giants might give Lock an opportunity to showcase his skills at some point.
HC Brian Daboll didn’t look that pleased with Jones last season, and given his history of injuries, it wouldn’t be much of a surprise to see that Lock finds his way to the field eventually.
He’s still young, and Daboll knows how to develop quarterbacks.
So even if it seems like a long shot and his days as a starter are most likely over, this could be a nice opportunity for him.
