Unfortunately for the Baltimore Ravens, they have been without their MVP quarterback during the start of their OTA period.
Lamar Jackson did not show up for the team’s offseason workout program, which has drawn some negativity from those in the media, including Fox Sports’s Plaxico Burress.
“I think it just sends the wrong message,” Burress recently stated on The Carton Show.
“For Lamar Jackson not to be there and Derrick Henry is there with his new team, it just sends the wrong message.”

Of course, in a perfect world, everyone wants their best player to show up whenever there is a practice.
But usually, the player, depending on how good they are, will find a way to makeup for it as the season moves along.
After all, really the only thing that the former Heisman Trophy winner is losing out on is money.
Jackson knows how important he is to his team.
If this was a Super Bowl practice, of course he’d be there most likely.
Jackson is a professional and has been around long enough to understand what is most important to him.
Also, it’s not like he is some mediocre player who doesn’t care about his growth.
This is a two-time MVP that is being talked about right now.
The hope for fans is that he will be ready to go by the time training camp starts.
Baltimore will need him to be at his very best this year if they want to dethrone the Kansas City Chiefs in the AFC.
With the addition of arguably the best running back of the last decade in Derrick Henry now in the fold, Jackson should be eager to build a strong connection with him in the backfield.
