The Dallas Cowboys have an interesting situation at quarterback entering 2024.
This is the final year of Dak Prescott’s current deal, and he will be wanting a new contract.
Owner and GM Jerry Jones will have a decision to make on whether or not he wants to hand out a bunch of cash to his Pro Bowl quarterback.
Fox Sports’s Craig Carton recently had this to say about what Jones might do:
“He’s (Jones) not writing that big check,” Carton stated.

Jones has had the whole offseason to bring Prescott back on a major deal but hasn’t.
He is 2-5 as the starter in the playoffs despite winning 12 games in each of the last three years.
Now, he is coming off of a career year.
He set top marks for himself in terms of completions and completion percentage.
He also led the league in touchdown passes with 36.
There is no question that he is an above-average quarterback who can win games in the league.
The trouble comes in the playoffs.
Jones could be reluctant to hand out a lot of money to a quarterback that doesn’t play well in the biggest moments.
It will be interesting to see what he does with not just Prescott, but with Micah Parsons and CeeDee Lamb.
Those are the two most important pieces on the team outside of the quarterback, and they want to be fairly compensated as such
Time will tell to see what Jones does with each of them.
