Arguably one of the most underrated quarterbacks in NFL history has been Matthew Stafford.
The reason people call him that is because he did his best to shoulder the load in Detroit but just wasn’t good enough to make the Lions an elite team.
In his first year after being traded to the Los Angeles Rams from Detroit, he won a Super Bowl.
Stafford has caught the eye of many great quarterbacks, including young C.J. Stroud.
“I’m a student of the game. Stafford a dog…He will beat you with the same thing every time…I’m a fan of his,” Stroud recently said on “MILLION DOLLAZ WORTH OF GAME” (via Houston Stressans on Twitter).

Stafford might not have the legendary career of a Tom Brady, a Joe Montana, a Peyton Manning, or an Aaron Rodgers.
But, he is a champion and a record-holder.
He has nine career seasons with at least 4,000 yards passing, including a 5,000-yard season back in 2011.
Stafford currently ranks 11th all-time in passing yards (56,047), 11th all-time in completions (4,834), and 11th in touchdown passes (357).
With his numbers, he should have a bust in Canton, Ohio waiting for him when he is done.
Now entering his 16th NFL season and fourth with the Rams, Stafford will look to play a full season for the first time since 2021 when L.A. won 12 games and a Super Bowl.
Young quarterbacks like Stroud look up to gritty vets like Stafford, who haven’t always had things easy.
With Stroud being a star in just his second year, he is on track to catching up to Stafford way down the road.
