Over the past four seasons with the Miami Dolphins, superstar quarterback Tua Tagovailoa has only gotten better and better with more time under center for head coach Mike McDaniel.
Although there were many questions about Tagovailoa’s durability coming into the league and the concussion scare he had in 2022, the former Crimson Tide star has started to live up to expectations in Miami while putting himself in line to be offered a lucrative contract extension by the Dolphins.
At this point, it seems only a matter of time before the Dolphins make Tagovailoa the highest-paid quarterback in the league and reset the market for the position.
Even though Tagovailoa continues to take his game to another level this year and has become one of the elite quarterbacks in the league today, health concerns will continue to follow him, especially since he’s noticeably dropped weight, according to Colin Cowherd of FOX Sports who doesn’t approve of the weight loss, via “The Herd with Colin Cowherd.”
“I like my quarterbacks like I like my furniture,” Cowherd said. “Big and hard to move.”

Cowherd does have a point in saying that there’s been no real track record of successful skinny quarterbacks in the league, as every star quarterback who has gone on to be successful has had some meat on his bones.
Although this might not be a great sign for the Dolphins moving forward, it remains to be seen if the weight change will drastically change anything in terms of on-field production in Miami.
