Is it any surprise that seven-time Super Bowl champion Tom Brady is approaching his new broadcasting gig with the same gusto he put into preparing for NFL games on the field?
The sure-fire first ballot Hall of Famer transitions into the broadcast booth this fall with Fox Sports as the network’s lead analyst.
The new job came with a staggering 10-year, $375 million contract.
And according to Colin Cowherd, the former gunslinger for the Patriots and Bucs is “putting in a lot of hours” to hone his craft to perfection.

Cowherd reported that, while he’s not logging Brady’s hours in the Fox network headquarters, the time put in to learn his new trade is impressive.
The diligence is paying off already, as Cowherd explained.
“I had him on, I think, a week ago. I asked my first question, he went like four minutes and it was fascinating.”
The pundit explained further that, on any given Sunday, Brady will have to comment 200 times in clips between 8-14 seconds.
With the eyes and ears of the NFL world on him, if he flubs his statement just once, “that’s all anybody’s going to talk about.”
While that is an overstatement as the best announcers on the planet stumble occasionally, there is undoubtedly a world of pressure on the former quarterback to perform at a supremely high level.
But realistically, does anyone expect him to fail?
After all, Brady rose from a 6th round draft choice to become arguably the greatest quarterback in the storied history of the NFL.
His standard for performance is well established, and he will be an excellent broadcaster.
