The Miami Dolphins just paid one of their best players.
Star WR Jaylen Waddle got the first massive payday of his career, logging a very lucrative three-year extension.
And with Justin Jefferson also resetting the market for wide receivers, there is speculation regarding Tyreek Hill and whether the Dolphins will give him a raise.
More than that, there still haven’t been many updates about Tua Tagovailoa and his contract situation with the organization.
However, there’s no need to panic or worry.
According to NFL insider Ian Rapoport, there’s plenty of optimism about getting a deal done sooner rather than later.
Talking on the NFL Network, Rapoport claimed that Tua had done everything he had to do to get paid, adding that he’s going to be ‘a very happy man’ at some point before the start of the season.

While some still have doubts about Tua and whether he’s a starting-caliber player in the league, the Dolphins have always had his back, and there’s no reason to believe they’re going to change their stance on him at this point.
He had an MVP-caliber first half of last season, and his chemistry with his wide receivers is clearly great.
Tua has the support of the locker room and the coaching staff, so his continuity with the team should’ve never been in question.
Of course, these things aren’t settled until the ink dries on the paper, but it doesn’t seem like the Dolphins will drag this decision out for much longer.
