The Indianapolis Colts have one of the most athletic players in the game.
Anthony Richardson made it to the league with some mixed reviews and questions, mostly because of the fact that he had barely played in college and his accuracy — or lack thereof — was a bit of a concern.
Nonetheless, his athletic traits were just remarkable.
He could scramble his way out of almost every situation with his quickness, acceleration, and lateral movements.
Also, his arm strength was simply impressive.
That’s why he wants to keep making the most of his privileged build to find success in this league, adding some pounds ahead of his second campaign.
In his recent appearance on The Pat McAfee Show, he revealed that he’s bulking up just for the sake of it, and it’s not like he’s trying to avoid injuries (via Noah Compton).
Anthony Richardson reveals he’s up to ~255 lbs and @PatMcAfeeShow asked if that’s a purposeful attempt to alleviate some of the hits he took as a rookie:

Richardson has already played down injury concerns and the narrative about his playing style.
He claimed that there was nothing he could’ve done to avoid his season-ending shoulder injury, adding that he wouldn’t change the way he plays the game.
That makes sense, as his reckless style and athleticism were the things that got him to the league in the first place.
However, he only made four appearances in his rookie season and missed time with two different ailments, so he must do a better job of keeping his body safe and sound.
Richardson has the potential to be special, and staying on the field will be a must for his development.
