For years, NFL fans have debated whether many players are overpaid or not.
The cycle goes like this: A superstar quarterback resets the market, and the price of mid-tier quarterbacks also goes up as a result.
With that in mind, there has been plenty of speculation regarding Tua Tagovailoa and his impending deal.
Tua is much better than some quarterbacks in the league, but he’s also fallen short at key moments, making it tough to assess.
However, given the state of the market, it’s only right that the Miami Dolphins pay him accordingly.
At least, that’s how former Philadelphia Eagles star Donovan McNabb feels.
In his recent appearance on Kay Adams’ “Up & Adams” show, McNabb claimed that Tua should get at least some more money than Jared Goff.

Goff just signed a four-year contract extension worth a whopping $212 million with $170 million fully guaranteed, making him $53 million per year.
Tua has developed strong chemistry with Tyreek Hill and Jaylen Waddle, and the Dolphins have one of the best — if not the best — offenses in the game.
He might not be a top-tier quarterback, but he’s the best they have right now.
Also, the team has always been quite vocal about their support for him, even through the injuries and struggles, so there’s no reason to believe they’re not going to do right by him.
Whether he ends up being overpaid or not is a whole different debate, and what seems like a lot of money today looks like a bargain a couple of years in the future.
