Jalen Hurts is unquestionably the face of the Philadelphia Eagles and already has an NFC championship in his pedigree.
But last year’s late-season swoon brought many doubters out of the woodwork when the team appeared on track for another Super Bowl run.
Now comes former NFL quarterback Kellen Moore as the team’s new offensive coordinator, and it is his job to right the ship and get the most production out of his star player.
For former Philadelphia quarterback Donovan McNabb, Moore’s mission is clear.
As McNabb, one of the most respected Eagles in the history of the storied franchise, said on “Up & Adams” today: “Kellen Moore has got to show up where this offense is built around (Jalen Hurts’) talent…not you just bringing your playbook.”

It will not be enough, McNabb explained, for the new offensive coordinator to bounce into the office with a binder filled with plays that he’s concocted.
Instead, the Eagles great said that the team owes it to themselves and Hurts to design the offense around his skill set.
The wide receivers are excellent, the Philadelphia running game now features the uber-talented Saquon Barkley, and there are weapons galore.
What there will not be is a lot of patience for Moore if he does not design a system that is specifically suited to the talents that Hurts brings to the gridiron.
The NFC East is a tough division, and the Eagles have their hands full if they want to get back to the summit.
As McNabb correctly noted, they would be foolish not to design their game plans to suit the abilities of their young and talented quarterback.
