The Philadelphia Eagles were marching toward another Super Bowl appearance last year with a shiny 10-1 record when disaster struck.
Head coach Nick Sirianni’s club stumbled to a 1-5 mark for the remainder of the year before being humbled by Tampa Bay in the Wild Card round.
But the team has many great pieces in place to build optimism for the fall campaign, including star quarterback Jalen Hurts and new running back Saquon Barkley.
Craig Carton believes the Eagles have all the pieces to reach the Super Bowl in the 2024 season, per his show.

After all, as he correctly noted, the Philadelphia offensive line is “light years better” than the front wall that Barkley ran behind in New York.
The new rusher will also benefit from better quarterback play from Hurts, who should set him up for even more breakaway plays than he had with the Giants.
Just imagine Barkley as a play-action threat for Hurts.
DeVonta Smith and A.J. Brown are top-notch wide receivers, and the defense is strong, so what is there not to like?
Carton conceded that San Francisco is the class of the NFC, but being the best team on paper and representing the conference in the Super Bowl is not always the same thing.
After all, every team deals with injuries and the bounce of the football, and it would not be much of a shock to find Philadelphia back in the final game for the second time in three seasons.
The table is set for the City of Brotherly Love.
