The New York Giants are currently waiting for former Pro Bowl tight end Darren Waller to make his decision on whether he will retire or continue his playing career.
Giants head coach Brian Daboll was recently asked by the New York media about Waller’s status as the team enters its summer practice portion.
“We’ll give him his time and when he makes his decision, he makes his decision,” Daboll said, via Giants Videos.

This Giants team is desperate to return to their winning ways again.
They have had just one winning season in the last seven years.
The last time this team won 10 or more games was in 2016.
The last time they won the NFC East was in 2011, which is when they last won the Super Bowl too.
There seems to be uncertainty all over the roster too.
Along with Waller’s unknown availability, the team lost their best overall player in Pro Bowl running back Saquon Barkley to the arch-rival Philadelphia Eagles as a free agent.
Oh, the quarterback situation is also an issue.
New York signed veteran backup quarterback Drew Lock to come in and compete for the starting job with Daniel Jones, who is coming off of his own torn ACL.
Losing a playmaker like Waller would be a killer for a team that certainly could use all the help they can get.
If Waller doesn’t show up, this team will go from being a mediocre football team to being much worse.
That is the difference as things stand right now.
