The Texas Rangers are proving in the postseason that their regular-season success was not a fluke.
Not many people thought the Rangers would be World Series contenders this year.
But, they find themselves only three wins away from securing the American League pennant.
Texas has seen their roster step up in all phases during the playoffs.
Incredibly, they have yet to lose a playoff game this October.
They swept both the Tampa Bay Rays and Baltimore Orioles and now lead 1-0 over the Houston Astros.
Also, the Rangers seem to be getting a significant contributor back in the ALCS.
According to FOX Sports: MLB, Bruce Bochy announced that Max Scherzer will start Game 3.

Scherzer was expected to be out for the season after suffering a strained teres muscle in his right shoulder.
He has been sidelined since September 12 due to this injury.
But, adding Scherzer back into the rotation will be a major boost.
Scherzer has plenty of postseason experience and has a World Series championship under his belt.
Bringing him back for Game 3 should have the Texas crowd in a frenzy.
Starting the first home game of the ALCS should have Scherzer amped up for his start.
Especially if the Rangers can win Game 2 and have a 2-0 series lead headed home.
It has become clear the Wild Card teams have an advantage in the playoffs.
Of the four teams remaining, three of them made the playoffs via the Wild Card.
Now the Rangers are hoping Scherzer can help push them into the Fall Classic.
