The Las Vegas Raiders headed into their Week 6 matchup with the New England Patriots with a lot of storylines about Josh McDaniels and all the connections he has to the storied franchise.
Along with all the hype surrounding this game due to these connections between the two franchises, the Raiders knew this would be a statement game as they could take advantage of a Patriots team that has really struggled this season.
Fortunately for McDaniels and company, Las Vegas was able to do just that, with the Raiders defense being the deciding factor.
Even though the Raiders defense doesn’t get much credit for what happens on the field on a weekly basis, the team does have one of the best in the business leading the charge on that side of the football in two-time Pro Bowl defensive end Maxx Crosby.
Crosby turned out to be the hero for the Raiders in Week 6 as he helped get a safety in the fourth quarter to seal the deal for Las Vegas, and after the game, he talked about his mindset, which is driven by an admiration for NBA legends Kobe Bryant and Michael Jordan, via Logan Reever of 8 News Now.

One of Crosby’s many tattoos on his chest is of Bryant, as he embraces the Mamba Mentality the Los Angeles Lakers superstar used to have while playing with the iconic NBA franchise.
Clearly, it has worked for Crosby as he’s quickly become known as one of the best defensive ends in the game today and a scary sight for any opposing quarterback.
