The Miami Dolphins won’t take the field for a while, but coach Mike McDaniel has been a very busy man as of late.
Besides keeping tabs on OTAs and planning ahead of the upcoming campaign, the former offensive coordinator has also found a bit of a side gig as a hype man.
McDaniel was in charge of getting the fans hyped up ahead of Game 1 of the Stanley Cup between the Florida Panthers and the Edmonton Oilers, and he didn’t disappoint.
As shown by the Dolphins on Twitter, McDaniel got the crowd all fired up by pounding the drum, and it may have also helped inspire the team, as they won 3-0.

The Panthers have never won the Stanley Cup.
As for the Dolphins, they have plenty of tweaks to make ahead of the season.
With Vic Fangio not there anymore, they should have a bit of a different feel on defense, although the expectation is that having a fully healthy Jalen Ramsey will do wonders for them on that side of the field.
They have the most entertaining offensive core of players in the league as well, led by a young quarterback who’s looking to get paid.
It’s an exciting time to be a Florida sports fan, and best of luck to both teams going after the Stanley Cup.
