The Cincinnati Bengals have one of the best QB-WR duos in the game, and they want to make sure that’s the case for years to come.
Joe Burrow’s chemistry with Ja’Marr Chase is remarkable, and it dates back to their days in college at LSU.
Chase has been one of the most impactful wide receivers in the game since he entered the National Football League, and he’s made it loud and clear that he’s going to squeeze every possible cent from his playing career.
That means the Bengals aren’t getting any sort of discount or consideration when they sit at the table with his agent to negotiate a new deal.
However, even though he was away from the team during the entire offseason and some speculated he was going to continue taking that approach as he pushed to get a new deal, that’s no longer the case.
ProFootballTalk reported that Chase was spotted at the Bengals’ minicamp, and that’s a nice gesture coming from a player most people thought would be way more radical in his approach.

Even so, Chase should have no worries about his next payday; it’s coming.
There’s likely no way the Bengals will do anything to jeopardize his pairing with Burrow, and that’s precisely why they let Tyler Boyd walk away and why they haven’t been able to get a deal done with Tee Higgins.
Chase is going to reset the wide receiver market in due time, just like Tyreek Hill and Justin Jefferson did before him, so he might as well get some reps with his teammates.
