It wasn’t that long ago that the Los Angeles Rams were considered a force in the NFC.
Some might even say that they were the team to beat, and they capped it off by winning a Super Bowl.
Notably, that wouldn’t have been possible if they hadn’t traded for Matthew Stafford.
The former No. 1 pick led them to the final game of the season and made the most of the chance of finally having a good supporting cast around him.
Fast forward to today, and the Rams are a bit of a wild card.
Aaron Donald won’t be there anymore, but Sean McVay is a solid coach, and they have the pieces to make some noise on offense.
On top of that, they might as well have the best quarterback in the conference, at least, according to Greg Cosell.
Talking on the “Ross Tucker Podcast,” the renowned analyst claimed that, looking player by player, Stafford’s name might pop out in the conversation of the best signal-caller in the NFC.

He’s right on point.
Stafford is tough as nails and the kind of player who’ll play through injury.
He has a rocket for an arm, and has been throwing no-look passes long before Patrick Mahomes made it to the league.
Stafford was never able to live up to his potential because of how poorly managed the Detroit Lions were back in the day.
But with the kind of supporting cast he has in Los Angeles, it wouldn’t be shocking to see the Rams right back in the playoffs.
