There is some developing news down in New Orleans regarding the contract of star running back Alvin Kamara.
According to NFL Network’s Ian Rapoport, who spoke with Kamara’s agent, the five-time Pro-Bowler was not seen at the team’s final minicamp practice on Thursday because of his contract situation.

It is hard to find a more consistent all-purpose running back in the NFL than Kamara.
At the very least, he is one of the underrated stars in the game.
After just seven NFL seasons (all with the Saints), the former third-round pick has over 10,000 career scrimmage yards.
He has recorded over 1,100 scrimmage yards each year in the league.
The former Tennessee Volunteer has never rushed for 1,000 yards, but that is okay when you factor in the five seasons where he has reeled in 75+ catches.
He is a threat from out of the backfield and through the air.
In terms of franchise history, Kamara is the team’s all-time leader in rushing touchdowns (54), receptions by a running back (505), receiving yards by a running back (4,219), and in a few other categories too.
There hasn’t been a more productive running back in the history of the franchise, and he is still just 28 years of age.
After coming off of another 1,100-yard season, Kamara is looking for some security.
New Orleans would be wise to keep him around with what he has done in the beginning of his career.
