The Pittsburgh Steelers have always been a powerhouse in the league.
That’s why the fact that they haven’t won a single playoff game in seven years is hard to understand.
Mike Tomlin has never had a losing season since he took the reins of the team, but that’s not enough for a franchise like the Steelers.
With that in mind, defensive star TJ Watt talked about how that lack of postseason success keeps driving him and pushing him forward (via Around the NFL):
“For me, it is all about no playoff wins,” Watt said recently, via The Athletic. “I am trying to do anything I can do. We have so much turnover year to year and so many new guys that it is trying to learn as much as possible coming from guys from other organizations that have done it and won championships since being in the league.

The Steelers have struggled with poor quarterback play for years now.
Ben Roethlisberger’s last two or three seasons weren’t particularly good, and they failed to find a suitable replacement in the following years.
Now, they have a sound offensive mind in Arthur Smith calling the shots.
The quarterback competition between Russell Wilson and Justin Fields should also bring out the best in both of them, which should do wonders for this organization.
The Steelers have always had an elite defense, and that will still be the case in 2024.
Watt is one of the best defensive players in NFL history, and he’ll always give them an opportunity to flip the field and stay in contention.
So, now that they’re expected to have a competent offense for the first time in years, it wouldn’t be shocking to see the Steelers finally put an end to their postseason win drought, and some believe they could even be a legitimate dark horse candidate to go the distance and make it to the Super Bowl again.
