The Dallas Cowboys were in the spotlight on Monday night, and not just because the game happened to be in a primetime slot.
Their loss to the San Francisco 49ers left terrible feelings about them, and their once-promising start to the season seemed like a thing of the distant past.
That’s why it was so crucial for them to be able to get the job done and get a convincing win over an up-and-coming team like the Los Angeles Chargers.
With that in mind, former NFL player Willie Colon gave Dak Prescott his flowers for having arguably his best of the season, via “The Carton Show.”
“Dak had a great game, but finally we saw this defense come alive, and they did it on Monday Night.”

However, he was more impressed by their defense, stating that they finally showed up again in the way we all knew they could show up.
Holding Kellen Moore’s offense to just 17 points at home deserves a lot of credit, especially considering the fact that he had this game marked on his calendar since being fired by the Cowboys in the offseason.
We all know how explosive and athletic Justin Herbert is, and the Chargers have a plethora of playmakers and big weapons at their disposal.
The Cowboys needed to get back to their identity of being a defensive-oriented team to get this much-needed win, and they did exactly that.
Of course, discipline continues to be an issue, and they need to avoid getting so many penalties.
But if the Cowboys manage to maintain this defensive identity and Prescott plays mistake-free football, they should have a legit chance to make the playoffs.
