With Week 6 now officially in the books, the NFL no longer has any undefeated teams in the league, with the San Francisco 49ers and Philadelphia Eagles suffering their first losses of the season on Sunday.
Along with getting beat by the Cleveland Browns in Week 6, the 49ers suffered some costly blows on the offensive side of the football, with two of the team’s best players going down with injuries.
Christian McCaffrey and Deebo Samuel were unavailable for most of the game against the Browns on Sunday, with both players suffering injuries that were severe enough at the time to keep them off the field for the rest of the contest.
Obviously, this led to concern about their status moving forward, with the 49ers wanting to bounce back quickly in Week 7 against the Minnesota Vikings.
Fortunately for San Francisco, Kyle Shanahan’s squad got some favorable news on Tuesday, with none of the injuries suffered in Week 6 being considered to be long-term ailments, according to ESPN’s Adam Schefter.

Without McCaffrey and Samuel on the field and without Trent Williams doing his thing blocking for quarterback Brock Purdy, the team didn’t look close to the same offensively, as they struggled to get anything going for the rest of the game against the Browns.
If one or all of these players miss some time, it could prove costly for the 49ers, as the offense won’t be the same, with Purdy potentially running for his life in the weeks to come while trying to get this team back on track.
